Sand Beach

Sand Beach is located just off the Park Loop Road in Acadia National Park. There are changing rooms, showers and restrooms as well as a lot of parking.  Once you have parked you walk down the steps to the beach. The steps are a little irregular so be careful of your footing.

You'll find a sandy beach that is mostly sheltered from the ocean. Lifeguards are usually on duty. Keep in mind that the water temperature is a bit of the cool side, somewhere around 55 to 60 degrees.
