Prouts Neck
Prouts Neck is a mostly residential community which is part of Scarborough.
The Carry All has been a general store and Post Office for over a century and offers a range of items like bread and wine and gifts. The Black Point Inn is the only remaining hotel out of the original 8 in the area. Neglect, and fire destroyed most of the other establishments. There is a walkway along the ocean and a nature path that runs through the center of the point. It was also home to the famous painter, Winslow Homer. Prout's Neck is only a short drive from Interstate 95.
